Yolanda de Sousa Kammermeier - Painter / Muralist

Born and brought up in Goa Yolanda de Sousa Kammermeier holds a B.F.A. (painting) Degree from The University of Bombay. Yolanda's style of creating a ceramic like effect on canvas with relief and high gloss has become her trade mark She enjoys working with watercolours too. She selects her medium as per the feeling of the subject. Her works are in collections in India and abroad.

Yolanda left her Job as Sr. Designer with the Government of Goa India in 1999 to concentrate in her Painting. She has since travelled widely and has to her credit 22 solo and 80 group shows.

Her works have been showcased in on invitation at Montréal, Berlin, Bremen(SOLO). New York, London, Hungary, Romania, Venice, Bologne, Korea, Moscow Tashkent, (GROUP) and Solo and Group shows in most parts in India, including Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Calcutta besides Goa.

Awards:

• Conferred with the State Cultural Award for outstanding contribution in Painting by the Government of Goa India for the Year 2010 - 11
• Recipient of the NIVO Award at The 48^th international Artists Camp organized by the International Artists Colony Hajduboszormeny Hungary in 2011.
• Nominated by the jury as ‘Most Impressive Painter’ at the International Art Camp at Hajdunanas Hungary in July 2013
