About the Film: The Delivery Guy (30 mins) follows two South Asian immigrants who moved to Berlin as students and now work as food delivery platform drivers. It explores the realities of migrant labor, precarious working conditions, and the search for dignity within the gig economy. It was an official selection at the Kolkata People’s Film Festival. Mark Rodrigues will be present in person for the screening and the post-film discussion. He is closely connected to the project: he was consulted by the filmmakers during the production to ground the narrative in authentic workplace realities, and he appears in the film itself. He is also an active member of the Lieferando Workers' Collective and serves on the Workers' Council in Berlin, where he advocates for delivery couriers. Having previously participated in post-screening discussions, he brings direct insight into how platform capitalism operates on the ground. Duration: 30 minutes.
