Salt of the Earth, a solo exhibition by local watercolour artist Rudi D’Silva, opened on August 31, 2019 at Carpe Diem Art Gallery, Majorda. The exhibition of 35 works captures local folk and their traditional occupations. Rudi's flare for watercolours comes together to portray the intricate expressions and tell-tale lite story lines on the faces of simple Goan men and women going about their traditional tasks such as selling flowers, bananas, chillies, mending Shoes and fishing nets. The opening night saw many prominent local figures including Dr. Christopher D'mello and family, who inaugurated the show as well as other known art collectors and connoisseurs, friends and families. His well wishers also included his art students and other artist friends who carne together to appreciate his work.
The exhibition will be open for public viewing till September 12, 2019, 10 am to 7 pm (Mondays closed).
